Refreshed and Ready to Go

July 7th, 2010 No comments

Today marks my official return to the grind stone after a long-awaited, much-anticipated, and highly successful trip to the British Virgin Islands.  My wife, Jenn, and I had a marvelous time celebrating our 10-year anniversary and her graduation from her SECOND doctoral program (Congratulations once again to her – quite an amazing feat!).

We had the privilege of staying on Peter Island, a private, 1700-acre resort located just south of the Island of Tortola, the banking and commerce center of the BVI, and directly east of Norman Island, which is rumored to have been Robert Louis Stevenson‘s inspiration for his epic Treasure Island.

Jenn and Jeff getting wetWe dove four times, enjoying the unbelievable underwater beauty of dive sites Carrot Sholes, Shark Point (saw a big nurse shark and a sea turtle!), and the Wreck of the Rhone.  Yes, that’s really us – great photo, eh?!!  Thanks to Randy and Armando (huge soccer fans and underwater ocean enthusiasts) for showing us a truly great time out on – and under – the water!

We had a wonderful time, and are very happy to be home.
